I believe reality is a sequence of images.

People know you through movement, form, light. Thought happiness, questions, sadness, discussions…  How difficult is it to portray yourself thought only one image when actually you are, like all of us, the sum of millions of them?

When asked to participate to an exhibition on self portraits, I took the theme very literally and decided to discover as much as possible each inch of my face. Not my static face but all my faces. With a little mirror I concentrated on a small area of my face and draw it instinctively with a ball pen. I would then draw an other part with a different mouvement witch would at the end create a portrait of different moments. The work resulted in 13 portraits that all together give a impression of myself.

I  believe these portraits are less of an illusion than a picture.
